I have a son in middle school. It’s no surprise that he is tapped into a completely different culture than mine, as he should be. Occasionally he shows me what he’s been listening to on YouTube. YouTube is his playlist/radio go to, not Pandora or iTunes or Spotify. Why? He’s into the kind of instrumental music you hear in video games, and I don’t think any of the streaming services have THAT channel.
Recently he brought this video to my attention. His favorite song is “Audiomachine – Guardians At The Gate (Access Denied dubstep edit)”, which begins at 5:28.
This video isn’t unique, in that there are hundreds of super-long videos that are full of any kind of music you want to find. Obviously the kids who are growing up in the digital age are all about that. Me? I still turn on my car radio once in a while.
