Netflix has been leading the way for digital content since 1997. Netflix is the world’s leading Internet television network with over 75 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films. Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any Internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. Managing Your Queue
Use ‘My List’ to keep track of what’s expiring. First, search for the movie or TV show you want to watch. Then, add it to ‘My List.’ Now when you go to ‘My List,’ you’ll see the expiration date under the title and thumbnail picture. Use the date to prioritize what to watch first, based on what’s expiring soon.
Clearing Your Viewing History
If you share a Netflix account with someone (I won’t tell!) you might not want them to know what you’ve been watching. Login to your account on your computer, then go to “Viewing History.” Now you can delete individual titles from the list. (But you can’t delete Magic Mike XXL from your memory.
Get Better Viewing Quality
There are two ways to make sure you’re getting the best picture on Netflix.
First, make sure you’re watching in High Definition. According to the help section of the Netflix website, follow these steps.
1. Navigate to Your Account.
2. Select Playback Settings.
3. Under Data Usage, click High.
4. Click the Save button.
Remember, streaming in HD will burn through data, so make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Second, pick the perfect time of day. According to Digital Trends magazine, the worst time of day to stream Netflix is 9:30 p.m. ET. It only makes sense. Imagine rush hour on the Internet highway. Watching Netflix in the late morning or mid-afternoon will give you the best results.
Netflix has secret numerical codes for obscure movie and TV show categories. You can use these secret codes to load up your queue with exactly what you want to see. Open your Internet browser and go to the URL listed below. Then, replace INSERTNUMBER with the secret code of your choice. Once you the secret category, just add titles to your queue. You’ll be able to watch them from any device.
Because there are literally hundreds of codes, I created a .pdf you can download. The .pdf Netflix guide as the hacks I outlined above, as well as all the secret codes.
